On this tour we will pick you up at 07:15 in the morning at your hotel located in El Calafate. We will then departure to the port of Punta Bandera (47kms ride) from El Calafate, where we will embark our boat.

Once onboard the boat we will sail through the North side of Lake Argentino. After crossing “Boca del Diablo”, the lake’s narrowest area we reach the Upsala Canal. At the Upsala Canal we will find a spectacular Ice Barrier. From there we will also have a panoramic view of the Upsala Glacier. We then sail on and navigate towards the Spegazzini Canal from where we will be able to observe the Seco Glacier and reach the front of the Spegazzini Glacier, the highest glacier in the National Park. its walls reach a height of 130mts and spread along 2,5km.

We then sail back to port Punta Bandera, and continue continue our journey to the Los Glaciares National Park, where we see the most famous glacier – the Perito Moreno glacier.

This tour will take the entire day . You will gain a lot of fantastic sights and interesting facts. A guide will assist you until the evening. We we be back to El Calafate around 20 PM.

Depending on the weather conditions, the numerous Upsala Glacier’s icebergs can form an astonishing wide barrier of ice. This occasionally prevents the entry and approach to certain points in the itinerary that will be daily checked due to safety reasons.

    The ice river express brought us to the the Upsala Glacier. Not only the glacier itself but also the trip towards it is amazing. The more close we came the more beautifull the ice sculptures in the water became. We also went to Spegazinni Glacier. Also very nice! There is some drinks and food for sale but it is better to bring a lunch.

    The boat is crowded but plenty of space to enjoy nature and make pictures.
