06:00 to 06:30 hrs. – Pick up at your accommodation for Torres del Paine National Park.

06:00 to 06:30 hrs – Departure from Puerto Natales towards the Torres del Paine National Park in our transportation.

We start from Portería Lago Sarmiento to Portería Laguna Amarga (Fauna and Flora Trail), approximately two hours. We will walk through the Patagonian steppe, where we will have a view of the Paine Massif and its lakes. The trail has a great variety of fauna, in addition, we will visit some cave paintings that are said to date back 10,000 years, made by the first natives of the area.

We will stop at the Nordenskjöld viewpoint where we can see the Paine Massif and the lake that bears the same name. After the explanations about the geology of the place by our guide, we will go to Salto Grande to start a 2-hour round trip walk to the Los Cuernos viewpoint.

Time for lunch at the Pehoé camp, (lunch not included), and after relaxing with the view of the Cuernos del Paine, we will climb to the Mirador Cóndor where we will have a majestic panoramic view and with luck we will spot the glides of a pair of condors who nest in that place

Arriving back to our transport we get ready to return to Puerto Natales

VALLEY OF THE FRENCH 

ITINERARY:

06:00 a.m. to 06:15 p.m. – Departure from Puerto Natales towards the Torres del Paine National Park in our private transport that has trekking poles and certified guides. 
 
After 2 hours of travel we will arrive at the Pudeto sector, where we begin our departure boarding the catamaran, which will leave us at the Paine Grande refuge. 
 
We will begin with the trekking towards the Valle del Francés, following the north shore of Lake Pehoé, with a view of the Cuernos del Paine. 
 
We will walk along the path that belongs to Circuit W, which is the intermediate vertical line of this route. 
 
In 3 hours and 30 minutes, we will arrive at the French Viewpoint where we will appreciate the Hoja, Espada and Fortaleza hills. 
 
After 1 hour at the viewpoint we will have time to rest, have lunch and recover energy. We begin the return towards the Paine Grande refuge, completing 20 km of walking and we will board the catamaran that will take us back to the Pudeto sector, where our vehicle will be waiting for us. 
 
Approximately 21:00, return to Puerto Natales and at your accommodation.

ITINERARY:

Pick up in your hotel and ride to Estancia Ernesto Helmer (27km). You will meet your guide and after a short briefing including safety protocols you start hiking this private property. The trail will wind and climb through centennial Lengas trees, curious geological formations, old Indian paintings, condor nests and small caves util you reach the Laguna Sofia lookout for an impressive view of the Laguna and surroundings. Returning by the Milodon cave where remains of old Pleistocene fauna were discovered. It is possible to encounter orchideas, different types of birds including crested caracaras, the black chested eagle, owls and the peregrine falcons among manies

Then, we will board the vessel that will take us to the Los Pingüinos Natural Monument, protected wild area formed by Marta Island and Magdalena Island. We will disembark in Magdalena Island, where we will be walking at leisure for about one hour in a track of 800 m long, until reaching an old lighthouse, from where we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Strait of Magellan. Both islands forms an interesting ecosystem, making a fascinating place to visit, whereas Marta Island lodges more than 600 Sea lions, Cormorants, Skuas, Austral seagull, Antartic pigeon and Sea elephants. The Magdalena Island allows us to interact (without touching them) with one of the largest colonies of Magellanic Penguins (between 40.000 – 60.000 birds and their chicks).  

In order to protect wild life, Marta Island only allows us to circumnavigate the island to admire and photograph the Colony and the diversity of marine birds that live there. 

During the navigation it is possible to sight Petrels, Skuas, Austral Dolphins and Commersoni’s dolphins. 

Finally, we will return to the pier, reaching Punta Arenas by midday.
